Volkeno

" Hot, fiery rock falls from the skies. Dropped with intention to ignite and combust. A shower of flames, engulfing the intruders. And at the end of this sea of billowing fire its irate master will finally show his form. "

Guard Volkeno slept soundly, it had been long time since he had chance to rest. Perched on one of rocky pillars of Sanctum. Just moment ago he drove away dragons who had once more come to beg for HIS help to combat rebels, again he had said no and attacked due their constant annoying pleading. He had no quarrel toward this rebellion and no interest of helping. And it wasn´t his responsibility either, his job was to look after Magma Sanctum, simple as that but it they never got it to memo. Perhaps now that some had been turned to walking pincushions he would be left alone. And if not... he would burn and bombard that settlement to ground and then give forgemasters piece of his mind.

Another Banescale approached Sanctum, flap of wings woke Volkeno from his slumber. Guard groaned as he looked up, it was elder Flare. Older Banescale landed and greeted him " Good day, Volkeno. " Flare said, younger one yawned in return " Good day to you too, elder. " he responded and jumped down.

Flare looked him throughoutly and the surroundings, proof of fight between Volkeno and workers of settlement. Elder sighed " I saw it all in Cinderslag, they just don´t learn. Do they? " he asked, Volkeno growled with shook of head " So it would seem! I had to add my quills to proof my point that I am not helping them. They should go after Forgemasters instead pestering me! " Flare nodded, it was clear that Guard´s patience had worn thin. Elder talked once growling had ended " I spoke with them, I asked them stop all this madness but they refuse to listen. They ruin work of our cousins... what a treachery toward our traditions and mockery toward Flamecaller. " he said which riled up Volkeno " Exactly! If people pester me once more time I will burn toward that blasted settlement to ground and then those forgemasters who let their greed ruin everything! " he roared, his temper had gone to ruins.

Flare hugged him then " Ease your temper, Volkeno. You will make ground of Sanctum unstable otherwise. " Guard grumbled then only, it was easy to listen Elder who knew what was best thing for situation. Younger Banescale let elder hold him around his soil colored wings. Blue flames didn´t hurt as he was child of Flamecaller.

Two later perched on pillars of Sanctum, thinking what they should do next. Elder had told him keep watching over the place while he would do his own think as usual. Perhaps when they had time and chance they could face forgemasters together, perhaps then they would listen. But for now, they would focus on living their lives.

When elder Flare left Volkeno found himself alone, it was quiet. He let himself be lulled to sleep by silence, letting himself resume his slumber.
