Indigo

“You’re too late, she no longer remembers you.”, the voice sneers towards Indigo. The Tundra glares back. “I don’t believe you. Nor does it change my mission.”, she replies, before striking the vile dragon down. With the blood still dripping from her claws, she moves on. The likes of him didn’t deserve a proper burial.

Indigo washes her claws in a small creek. As she sits down to take a breather, she opens the locket she wears. Inside is a drawing of two dragons, Indigo, and her mate. Two winters ago, Indigo came home to an empty lair, with her mate missing. After asking around, she found out that her dearest had fallen into the wrong crowd, and that they had taken her away. And Indigo would not let that slide.

So ever since that moment, Indigo has been hunting down these dragons that took her mate away. The network of these monsters runs throughout the whole world, they’ve been infecting Sornieth with their virus for ages. Indigo has found, and killed, a lot of them already. Without ever getting closer to her mate. Until a month ago, when she suddenly heard two fellow travelers talking about a dragon that closely resembles her. And now, the freaks she hunts have begun taunting Indigo with her mate. How ‘she is ours now’ or ‘she no longer wants to be with you’. And just now, ‘she no longer remembers you’. Indigo doesn’t believe a word of it. There’s no way her mate went with these dragons willingly. And there’s no way Indigo will give up on her.

After a short period of rest, Indigo closes the locket and gets back on her feet. There’s a stronghold in this forest, she needs to get a move on. She can’t stop to rest, not when she’s this close.

She will save her mate.
