Vana was birthed into the Fortress of Ends, her hide impenetrable to the frigid winds of her lands. Their Clan was a nomadic one, and Vana was easily groomed into becoming a sell sword; her claws adept at tearing flesh and her mind quick and battle honed. The Guardian felt she was not comfortable amongst those of ice, the winds nipping her in ways she was certain was not typical of her kin. It was a troubling sensation, to know that her body did not slot in with her birth flight, she fretted until she fled, happening upon the vile swamps of the Brotherhood. She placed more faith into Cicerax than she may have typically were she not desperate for the acceptance of others. Her hardened hide adapted well to the ways of the Plague, and her body found a rhythm with the moans of the barren ground beneath her. She became undoubtedly loyal to Cicerax, and the lands they resided in. Vana exchanged her loyalty for praise, and she cannot find it in herself to regret it. The festering disease does not fret the dragon, and she is content to wade the waters of the swamps, fishing or tracking the local fauna. Substituting her insecurities with a brash exterior, she is friend to all who find themselves in servitude to the Cursewood Tree. Establishing infamy amongst the clan for fearing not the terrors that lurk in the surrounding forests at night, Vana is a bold strike of bravery in the clan, and her maw will gladly crush any that threaten her homelands. Despite her ferocious exterior, Vana doubts her own bravery, as during her heroic acts, she is secretly terrified. |
A noble beast that wades in festering depths and is companion to all is terribly afraid of Dodo birds, and has taken up the habit of painting her claws in their freshly spilled blood in attempts to conquer her fears. Of course this achieves nothing but to make her appear all the more terrible.
Worries frequently swamp her mind, being emphasised by her rambunctious charge: Galen. Their relationship, whilst initially difficult to establish, has a adopted a fraternal element, and the two frequent local haunts together.
