Yet, these whispers were initially dismissed as mere strategies for temporary prosperity. Days turned into months, and months into years, as the mysterious changes persisted. Those who voiced dissent vanished mysteriously, their absence marked by a single coin added to the treasury.

All the while, unseen eyes observed and whispered into the ears of the increasingly mad emperor, Daemon. The demise of his beloved empress under obscure circumstances had left him distanced and grief-stricken. Months later, a seemingly loyal servant rose in prominence within the empire, earning the emperor's favor. Unknown to all, she was a witch, the orchestrator behind the empress's demise, and the enchantress weaving her spell around the emperor's heart and mind.

The witch harbored grand ambitions—to claim the throne as empress and secure her lineage, ensuring none would contest her rule. Her nefarious plans involved sowing influence, manipulating courtly intrigues, and binding Daemon's will to her own. Her goal was not merely power; it was to birth an heir, cementing her legacy and extinguishing any threat to her reign.

As the witch's control tightened around Daemon, the empire trembled on the brink of darkness, poised between the mad emperor's erratic decrees and the sorceress's calculated manipulations. Amidst whispers of dark magic and the scent of ambition, the once-prosperous empire now stood at the precipice of chaos, its fate hanging on the edge of a witch's desires and an emperor's shattered soul.
