Trois is a dragon as tricky and full of twists as his own name. Nocturnes, as a shadow breed, are known for their stealth and cunning. Trois possesses all of those qualities in great measure. Tricky, easily bored, and mischievous, Trois is always looking for new amusements, and willing to make them up if he can't find any. His old clan often found him something of a nuisance, and a problem waiting to happen, so he struck out on his own, finding the Clan of Amity as if by chance. To some, it seems odd to find such a trickster in a clan so dedicated to peace and the wellbeing of other dragons. However, Moira, who manages the clan's defenses and trains up their warriors, took him under her wing, and the training keeps out of as much trouble as he could get into. Eventually, they became more than mentor and student.

Despite his tricky ways and his tendency to pull pranks on other dragons just to see how they react, all his mischief is harmlessly meant. He just likes to make other dragons laugh, or at least stop being so serious for a bit. But when the clan finds itself in danger, he can become serious himself. Not every clan has such kind intentions as theirs does, and some even think that they can take advantage of a generous and peaceful clan. Raiding parties and those with unkind intent have to deal with Trois. They find tricks and sabotage rained down on them, from flurries of snowballs in their faces, to hidden tripwires, to arcane illusions of everything from giant spiders to ravening monsters. Under Moira's careful direction, Trois comes up with methods to drive off those who might do them harm, without needing any fighting. Although he may not seem to take much seriously, he considers the safety of the clan, and his part in maintaining it, to be of paramount importance.
