Kyras

"Wanna say that to my face, sweetheart?"

Adopted son of Shade and Jamie. He was found (dead) in an alleyway when he was about 6yrs old. They revived him, but since he didn't remember anything about his previous life, Kyras stayed with them.

Fast forward another 6 years. 12yo Kyras is in prison for something he didn't do. If he were a normal child, he would have been let off with a warning. But because he's Shade's son, they locked him away. He was devastated and refused to do anything for days. His cellmate, Keiran, had to convince him to eat after Kyras starved himself for 3 days straight. Kyras is placed in the Apex Containment Building, which is pretty much the "high security" part of the prison.

(Keiran is actually his biological father, but neither know yet lol)

Kyras gets into a fight with a dude. The guy cuts his face open, so Kyras goes wild and kills him. Keiran keeps him from getting caught. As the treatment of inmates gets worse, Kyras gathers a bunch of the inmates and they start planning. He and the rest of the mistreated inmates attack the prison guards (and their backup forces) and gain control of the prison. Shade and Jamie hear about it and visit the prison, forcing the two sides to stop fighting. Jamie, being the person that owns the entire town, is the one that has to figure out how to please both sides. Kyras gains ownership of the place (he's still 12 btw) and the officers are forced to back off (but they get some money out of it).

Shade is their only food supplier since the inmates refuse to leave the prison's walls. It has been expanded multiple times since Kyras gained ownership of it, and Jamie paid for all the expansions*. Also, the bathrooms don't stink anymore!! While it is a prison, all the inmates have been there for 5+ years and see it as their home. There's 2 men per cell, and every cell is filled. There's like, 600 cells there. Plus the separate building for solitary confinement, which has been repurposed as a place for the sick and injured to recover. One of the prison guards (Rei, she kept an eye on Shade when he was there) visits occasionally. She always brings stuffed animals and fun games for the inmates. She also brought them a puppy. The puppy's name is Mia and she is the STAR of the prison. She loves the attention from everyone!!

Kyras is glad to see that everyone isn't miserable anymore. He and Keiran run the place together, and they arrange everything from food deliveries to visits. He is usually hanging out in his cell or helping out with anyone who is sick or hurt. He eventually finds out that Keiran is his biological father, and his reaction was "OMG I have THREE dads now!!!!!" Shade, Jamie, and Keiran joke about it constantly.

Kyras and King are constantly fighting. Everyone is happy but him. It ends when King attacks him in the showers (they were both clothed dw), forcing Shade to step in. King is then moved and tossed into Akeo's dungeon. And then executed a week later. Kyras' pocketknife was actually useful who would have thought?

*The prison's expansions see a new courtyard, pools, and more space. Also, trees are planted. The inmates then build birdhouses for the trees. They control the entire local raven population.

ABOUT:

Looks: 5'6", pale with reddish-brown hair. He's not thin,, but not chubby either. Sort of in the middle. Always wears the same outfit, a white shirt with black pants. He carries around a pocketknife for protection, even he probably doesn't need it.

Personality: He's got a bright and bubbly personality. He loves meeting new people, and loves making friends even more. If he needs to, he can turn stone-cold and harsh, but he doesn't like doing that and doesn't do it often. He's also a little sassy at times.
