Summary

Clan Crystalline is an Arcane clan led by Kari the Fae and her circle of leadership. It is located within the Starwood Strand, in a clearing surrounded by dense forest known as the Fairywood.

The dragons of this clan are closely allied with the Longneck and Talonok beastclans that live in the region, and share their resources and home with them.

I Leadership Circle

Description

The Leadership Circle is a group of dragons who together lead Clan Crystalline. They are recognized and respected by the clan as leaders, and use their combined knowledge, experience and skills to make decisions that are in the best interests of everyone, from the clan's own to the allied beasts. They meet regularly to discuss matters big and small, from clan alliances to panning the next celebration.


Members

Kari | Leader & Founder As the first leader and founder of Clan Crystalline, Kari's priorities are her clanmates. She participates in every task, event, and listens to every concern of her clanmates and beastclan neighbors. She's always busy, ensuring that everyone in the clan is comfortable with their responsibilities. She cares about the happiness of those around her, as she considers them all equally to be her family.

Rock | Co-Founder, Task Leader & Head of Defense One of the clan's founders, Rock's clan responsibilities involve preparing the clan's daily tasks, planning events, and training his clanmates in defensive combat. He takes his duties and his clanmate's welfare and concerns very seriously, as they are his charge, and it is his duty.

Arcane | Head of Attack & Battle Strategy Joining the clan in it's early days, Arcane is considered one of it's founders. She spends her time training the members of the clan in basic and advanced combat, as well as organizing and participating in border patrols. Quick, keen and powerful, this respected and feared dragon has a big heart and sharp senses, and plays a vital role in maintaining the clan. Many consider her to be a mother-like figure of sorts.

Asriel | Clan Healer As Clan Crystalline's Healer, Asriel spends his time gathering the herbs and tools he needs to make medicines and treat those who need aid. Whether it dragon or beast, he never turns away the injured, even those of rival clans or competing flights. Because of his specialized training, he is an asset to he clan, and contributes valuable input when discussing important matters.

Archenar | Exaltee Mentor & Beastclan Ambassador Aside from mentoring occasional young dragons for exalting, Archenar is tasked with maintaining positive relations with the local Beastclans. He's familiar with their traditions and is always first to greet new Beastclan visitors. During important leadership meetings he acts as an advocate to them, always sure to bring up their worries and concerns, and making sure their voices are heard.

Dawn | Conflict Management & Wind Relations Dawn is a wise imperial who is highly respected by her clanmates for her clear thinking and level head. Her skills have made her a valuable asset in the clan's early days, paying a vital role in maintaining the clan. She also manages relations with allied Wind Flight clans. Kari relies on her for her calculated input.

Rashid | Therapist & Identity Counselor Rashid acts as a therapist of sorts to the members of his community, specializing in self-expression. It's important to him that those around him can embrace and express their true selves, so they can live comfortably.

Eclypse | Honorary Member Although not "officially" recognized as a member of the Leadership Circle, Eclypse is often considered and brought in for her unique experience and insight, as a blind Wildclaw. She shares her feelings and struggles and gives opinions on how the clan can improve and become more accessible, for others who may share similar difficulties. The clan acknowledges and respects her.

Belief System & Laws

The dragons of Clan Crystalline live by a shared moral code. Though not a strict code, they have these beliefs and systems in place to prevent and avoid the kinds of oppression that many of it's older members experienced in other clans. The rules are as follows:

Those in need of aid cannot be turned down. Anyone in need of medical assistance has the right to it, regardless of whether they are dragon or beast, and regardless of their history or intentions. This is the first and oldest rule, and is one that the clan, especially the healer, takes very seriously. Communication before action. Clan members must always try to deal with problems using negotiation before resorting to combat. As many of it's members come from war-torn backgrounds, they live their current lives with wishes for peace. Any time there is a conflict of interests, the Leadership Circle comes together to discuss ways to move forward, without causing distress or harm. Never take more than you need, and give thanks for what you receive. The clan believes deeply in respecting the land they live on, and living in moderation. This rule applies not only to their food gathering practices, but anything at all that they receive. Each life, each leaf, each new day is worth giving thanks for. As they share this land with others, they must always make sure there are enough resources left over to go around.

Clan Subgroups II

Clan Crystalline

Clan Crystalline in this case refers to the main clan, where most of the dragons live and actively partake in clan life. It's located within a clearing in the Starwood Strand, known to them as the "Crystalline Clearing", and the territory is shared with the Beastclan people who also live there.

The clan members each partake in daily tasks to maintain and take care of each other. They all work to provide, each one of them a valuable member to the internal economy, and are organized carefully to allow for little stress and lots of free time.

The clan is young, only a second generation in age, and as such the size of the clan is still fairly small. The dragons all know each other, even if they aren't apart of the same social groups.

the Scavengers

The Scavengers function independently from the main clan, and have their own "lair", closer to the border between Plague and Arcane, on the far side of the Fairywood. There, they've hollowed out their dens in the smaller chalcedony spires emerging from the earth, padding their walls with mud to insulate from the chalcedony's magical properties.

Crystalline Clearing

The "Crystalline Clearing", as the clan affectionately calls their home, is filled with the dragons' dens and shops, and is decorated with the clan's banners. The members of the Crystalline clan take great care in beautifying and taking care of their territory, without encroaching on the tastes or decorative traditions of those who's native land they're on.
