Amethyst hails from Reclaimer's Glacier, where she was one of the only Hatchlings in her clutch to leave her lair. She'd always been curious from the start, exploring the endless expanse of ice and flying far too close to the sea, often leaving her chilled and frost-bitten. She was an artificer at the Rimebone Stockade and loved crafting magical items that she'd give to her many siblings.

It was on one of her many travels that Amethyst was found by Peridot, who was recruiting dragons for a new elite sub-group of dragons within her clan after having been appointed by her mother, the Matriarch. Amethyst joined her, and became a Scout for the Feywild Clan, often spending several days away as she scouted for resources or threats outside of their territory.

Outside of her Guardian duties, Amethyst is very fond of Sasha and spends most of her time with her. They sleep in their cave away from the rest of the Imperial dragons in the clan, whom Amethyst does not care much for, especially Shuu, whom she finds to be too quirky and eccentric for her tastes.

Despite settling down in the Feywild Clan and calling it her home, Amethyst does still often hear the wilds calling her name, and it is not unusual for her to disappear days or even weeks at a time as she explores the lands outside of the Sea of a Thousand Currants.
