A beam of light shot up through the forest, piercing the clouds above. All living creatures in the surrounding woods stopped to gaze at the mysterious light, curious as to what it could be. Within seconds, the light dissipated. The dragon clan who claimed the territory as their own, led by Nightshade, rushed to the scene, and they discovered a bright white egg, glistening in the sunlight. As they crowded around the egg, all trying to get a glimpse, the egg shined bright, nearly blinding everyone for a few seconds. When their eyes refocused, they saw a tiny baby coatl had hatched, with eyes so bright they seemed to gaze into a dragon's soul. He was like the Sun. He stretched his tiny wings, which looked like fire, and crawled over to a stunned Freya. Zepar, who had studied Coatl language and acted as a translator, picked out a few words Freya seemed to chirp, "Sun... God... Reborn... ". [/i]

Zepar explained to the clan that he may have read something like this before in the library in the Arcane region before, a long forgotten tale about a Sun God being reincarnated into the body of a light dragon. Coatls were the main dragon species in which the God's Spirit has been reborn into for centuries. The Great Quetzalcoatl was the first God, so he obviously fancied the coatl breed. With the centuries passing, he has lost much of his original power, spending it to reincarnate over the ages. Though, while the reincarnated dragons retain the original spirit, they still have their own individual personalities, and they serve more as a medium to communicate with the Quetzalcoatl's spirit. The reborn Quetzal's vessels are highly revered among coatls, and are treated as royalty, so that good fortune may shine upon them. It is said that if the Quetzal's spirit is not appeased, a calamity may occur, so many coatls through the ages have given offerings of high class seafood to please the Quetzal.

He was given the name Taiyou by the clan, which means Sun. Some clan members didn't buy that he was a god reborn, but the coatls adored him and Taiyou was happy with all the attention he was getting from them.

As he grew, the other coatls made him a ceremonial type attire, inspired by the original Quetzalcoatl long ago. He now wears it most of the time as he loves the gift they gave him.

No one knows for sure whether he really is the reincarnated Quetzalcoatl, but little things happen now and then that seem like little miracles, and they believe it is Taiyou's happiness that brings about this fortune.
