Freya is a very motherly figure. She is like the clan babysitter, or nanny, and runs the clan nursery, caring for any hatchlings in the clan. She is often seen with Jyotika following her around.

During the winter solstice, she found a nocturne egg, which hatched shortly after she brought it back to the clan. The egg contained Jyotika, who thinks of Freya as her mother, since she was the first face she saw.
She is a firm believer that Taiyou is the reborn Quetzalcoatl Sun God, and has helped care for him since he was a baby, always spoiling him with the first pick of the seafood stores, much to the ridgebacks' disdain.

History:
Born into a Plague clan, she always felt as if she didn't belong. Rather than the death and decay that filled the lands of plague, she enjoyed life so much more, and was at heart a very kind and nurturing dragon. Finally, one day, after deciding she had had enough of the barrenness of the land around her, she decided to set off on a journey to find a new home. Her family gave her a birdskull necklace as a parting gift, and she set off.

The first trees on the horizon she saw, she rushed towards, but little did she know, she was wandering into The Tangled Wood. She was terrified and ran for days, being harassed by the playful tricksters of the forest, and she began to think she should turn back and return to The Scarred Wasteland. Finally, when she was at her wit's ends, she saw a light at the end of the tunnel of trees.

When she reached that light and blinked, she stared in awe across the river at the sea of green trees of the Viridian Labyrinth. She jumped into the water, swimming over, but quickly grew tired of fighting the current and got carried downstream a ways.
Apophis, who was playing by the riverside along with a few other coatls, saw her and pulled the exhausted Freya to shore. After she shared her story, they invited her to the clan, saying that their leader, Nightshade would surely accept her. She returned to the clan's nesting areas with Apophis and the others, a bit nervous and hopeful. After meeting the rest of the clan, she knew this was where she belonged, and she has stayed with the clan ever since, actively helping out whenever she can.

When not caring for hatchlings, she is the Plague Rep. In her absence, Jyotika cares for hatchlings.
