Hello! I am a generally non-exalting lair; this means any dragon that I have bought or adopted with the intention of keeping that I don't want anymore will be re-homed, not exalted!

HOWEVER I am still a very active dom member and if your dragon is selling at or below fodder floor on AH, they are 95% going to being exalted. The exceptions are the occasional fodder fail (pretty <3), certain G1s and oldies (4+ years old).

If you want to buy back your dragon and they are unleveled, I am willing to resell them back to you at the same price I paid + 2kt/g (for the effort). If they are higher than level 5, I will resell at 10kt/g. (EDIT: If they are level 10 I would rather not resell but I'll do it for 25kt/g).

If you want your dragon to be renamed before exalting, send me a renaming scroll and I will happily do that for you!

In general I will not be restoring dragons after they are exalted. However, feel free to ask and I may say yes if I feel like there is a good enough reason.

There are two ways to sell a dragon: the auction house (AH) and the forums. Unless a dragon is explicitly given away for free through the forums on a non-exalt condition and someone intentionally exploits that for free fodder, the site's rules are very clear that the seller cannot dictate what happens to a dragon after it sells. Fodder floor refers to the cheapest adult dragons available on the auction house. Usually it hovers around 6-8kt/g, but during dom battles it can go much higher (I've seen it around 18kt/g before). If you don't want a dragon to be bought with the intention of being exalted, I would pay attention to the fodder floor and make sure your prices are above it. I'd suggest 15kt/g-25kt/g on average.

Your other option is making a forum post in Giveaways and asking people to adopt. It will take more time, but typically your dragons have a much lower chance of being exalted. I have a giveaway thread myself here if you want to see an example.

Many people do not take kindly to people who reach out and thank them for buying dragons they have purchased to use as fodder from the AH. A number of people will block others for these sorts of messages because of how they can lead to guilt-tripping and harassment as laid out in the rules article, including several people I know. This may not have been the sender's intention in this situation, but that is often how these actions are perceived by the recipient of those messages.
