Biography

Bridget is the Druid Queen of the faeries. Some sources refer to her as the goddess of wisdom, poetry, healers, and/or fire. When St. Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland, she became St. Bridget (patron saint of scholars) to the Christians. To many Irish, she is simply the patroness of Ireland. The name comes from the Celtic noun "brigh" which denotes power and loftiness. Hence the expression: "high and mighty."
