"How can I help?" A dragon who loathes the cold, Rawn is always bundled up. Her elemental alignment would suggest otherwise, but she has always been susceptible to the cold. Her weakness meant she was trapped in Endshome, huddled in its relative warmth compared to the bitter ice outside. Where other dragons have had the opportunity to explore the full extent of the Icewarden's domain and beyond it, she grew up sheltered. As a child she was awkward and lonely. Left out of many activities because they meant going outside, Rawn had only elderly dragons and the library. As time passed however she began finding ways of keeping dragons her age in closer company. She developed a cheery attitude others liked and arranged indoor activities to fill at least some of the time she would have otherwise spent alone. As a result, Rawn threw herself into her community. She was a quick study for accounting and communication thanks to a childhood spent indoors with books for company. She became a pillar of Endshome, someone who could be counted on to plan events and tend to the small details of things. Trapped in this icy cavern, she finally started feeling that her life wasn't being wasted and the pining for a world she'd never seen or ever would faded away. Warm and talkative, she once knew everyone and was a well loved figure for many years. |

But times and sentiments changed, while Rawn didn't. Soon she found dragons spoke to her less, elected new organizers, rendering her a relic. She doesn't realize that the more vocal she is about it the more she ostracizes herself. Instead she has come to blame these other foreign dragons for exiling her from her own people. This makes her loathe these outsiders even more, fueling an ouroboros of resentment. Ancient fears of being alone and wasting have begun blooming again. she tries to bury these feelings but her once genuine smile has become hollowed with desperation to escape the hole she's dug for herself. Her xenophobia has made her a pariah in most of Endshome, leaving her only the portion of the population that also loathes Gomorrah's changes. With the loss of status among her peers, Rawn now fights for the interests of her fellow Brut followers. They use her longing to be helpful against her own intentions, setting her forward to speak and bring the brunt of ill will on herself while not providing the friendship she keeps hoping will grow from her continued service. |
