S U M M A R Y

Most know Fuchsin Valhorn as a stuffy aristocrat. He is the youngest child in a very long line of nobles and cut-throat politicians. His family maintains a strong reputation, and if he wants to continue coasting on the privilege that his noble birth affords, then it is in his best interests to do nothing that would ruin that reputation. Propriety and his personal image are of the utmost importance to Fuchsin. Although he speaks in a very polite manner (thanks to the many etiquette lessons he endured in his youth), it seems he cannot help but be at least mildly condescending to everyone around him.

But very few know that Fuchsin has another name, one that is not spoken but instead scrawled in delicate swirling letters on the inside of first-edition novels. That name is his pen name: Florian Valentine, a beloved romance novelist. While he manages to maintain his high society reputation during the daylight, Fuchsin spends his nights wide awake, writing exceedingly soft and sappy love stories.
