Biography
12/16
original colors Hakim
Art by Vendrus. A beautiful gift <3
In days long passed, the Gladekeeper would bestow Her blessings in the form of bonded boughs. Few were chosen and the pain was immense, but the privilege of being connected with the spirit of the great Behemoth tree far outweighed the initial price. Amarum was blessed as a hatchling and survived the physical trial. Once he had grown along with the boughs, his physical and spiritual strength was steadfast. The emotions of every dragon in the Viridian Labyrinth resonated in the spirit of the Behemoth and Amarum
understood them all. His eventual place among the Voices was only natural.
When the illness came to the Gladeveins, Amarum believed himself to be a steward of the spirit. He lead the prayers and listened to the worries of his clan when the first red-eyed hatchlings emerged from their shells. When his own mate contracted an uglier disease than most, he felt fear for the first time. Feeling that this affliction must be some punishment for hubris and inadequacy of spirit, his shame drove him to darkness. The clan placed their shaking faith in Amarum and his own desperation resonated back to the Behemoth ten fold. The creature that emerged, Nuphar the ancient and frail, was the mistake they had made together.
