Arrived at the Garden, approached him, and bowed his head.

Deirdre still has no idea what's going on, but noticed that this Gaoler's feet seem to...glow? His wings also seem to shimmer like heat radiating from the earth...

Poor Deirdre can't fathom any of this, and rubs her face. She repeatedly asks the entity who he is, and he only responds:

"I am merely a shadow that fools your eyes, always here, even though the light is dim."

In the briefing with Swift, Deirdre gives him the name of "Forest Shadow" considering that he did not give a name...
