 Vilak is one of four dragons under Jiro that helps with the duties of a lampwright. He, like his siblings, was taught pretty much from birth how to set up and maintain the lights that help keep the clan's space illuminated. The instillation part he leaves to others, however, as many dragons setting up in new spaces want the lights set certain ways that they find aesthetically pleasing or need for their work and Vilak just...doesn't get it. To him lights are a tool to be installed in the way that makes the most sense not that makes the room look 'pretty' or whatever.

After a few too many arguments with other dragons over this Jiro decided that Vilak would just not be part of that crew, leaving that job to Felinar and Farola instead. To make things even since Aleka is not exactly the most sociable of dragons he helps Vilak with the maintenance instead of instillation, and the two make a pretty good pair. They make sure the lines are functional, keep the generators and solar panels going, lay cables into new sections of lair space so Felinar and Farola don't have to do much for the instillation, and otherwise keep to themselves and ensure things go smoothly so the rest of the dragons don't have to think about it.
