Jinx is the grand daughter of Eron, a pioneer in research on the Longneck tribes within the territory of the Icewarden. Having been raised by her grandfather since she was young, she has no memories of her parents, but that doesn't stop her from being curious about them from time to time. Eron would sometimes tell her anecdotes about Jinx's father before she went to bed, but she stopped asking for more stories of that kind after noticing the melancholy and sadness appearing on his face when he told them. Since then, Eron has replaced the old anecdotes with his discoveries about the Longneck. Jinx literally drank in his tales, and she also started exploring the outskirts of the village, even though her grandfather was totally against it.

Whenever she gets the chance, she loves to spy on Potts and follow him to his hunting grounds, keeping a good distance. The forest that stretches from the end of the tundra to the edge of Pine's Hollow, passing through the Crests, is her own refuge, and only Potts, Mako, and Sirocco know about her nocturnal escapades.
