Among the oldest of the dragons that make the endless dusts their home, Akshai takes on the important role of a defacto leader and the grim priestly duties of death. Born with two souls in one body, it was believed that he killed his twin in the egg; in a culture that worships the process of death and preservation of memory, having a dragon hatch already covered in their sibling's metaphorical blood was seen as a sign of his strength. Although he didn't take on his priestly duties right away, he was appointed once he reached a few hundred years of age, spending most of his younger ages as an apprentice under Ruland'r. Although in appearance one could certainly interpret him as solely masculine, he holds both a feminine and masculine soul within him, and tends to fluctuate between the genders as he sees fit. His large stature, impeccable grooming rituals and opulent tastes may come across as intimidating - especially paired with his position in the clan - but despite the morbid aspect of his soul collecting rituals, he is a very down to earth individual. He respects life and it's memories just as much as death and the honor of passing, and shares in all the festivities that the world has to offer with a warm smile towards all who come to his door.
