Astra
|| Oracle || Mistress of the Stars ||
"Her gifts were rare for a Plague dragon."

The stars danced and swirled around her, her crystal ball glimmered and shined in the darkness. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath and allowed the voices of the galaxy to fill her mind. Her hands flowed gracefully over the crystal ball as the messages came to her clear and concise. Heat started to come off the walls of her glorious cave as secrets and prophecies were whispered to her. When the energy stilled, she opened her starlit eyes and began to write. Astra, a beautiful Plague Dragon, could tell the future. Her gifts were rare for a Plague Dragon, but she loved her gift and would often times use it to help her clan. When Astra was a Welp, her gifts were evident from the very beginning. She could see when her parents were going to go searching or scavenging with the Clan, or when others would be doing something. She would tell her family about her visions and prophecies, only to be told that she was wrong, or dabbling in something she shouldn’t be. She found herself to be rather alone most of the time. She just guessed that that was how most Oracle’s lived anyway; alone and powerful. Somehow, she was okay with this, and continued practicing her gift and grew to be rather powerful.
As Astra grew, so did her ability. She was able to harness the power of the Galaxy quicker and more efficiently. She found herself helping Dragons who would come to her for help with their future or their path, even within her Clan. When she grew to be an adult, she knew that her gift could be used elsewhere. With a proud goodbye to her parents, she took off to seek a brighter future. She was able to ask the Galaxy and the heavens to help guide her to a home that would help her grow and--hopefully--find friends. Even though she was able to find happiness in her gift, she was lonely, and needed some sort of Dragonship. In her travels, she came to many different Flights, but in the end she settled for a wonderful clan in the Shadow Flight. She was welcomed right away, but found herself to be rather shy. Being alone for so long made her social skills a little weaker than what they should be.

As she set up her energy cave, a rather surprising visitor came to see her. Radiance, a beautiful, yet unrelenting Dragon. “Hello? May I help you?” Astra asked, tentatively.
The Dragon gave her a quick flicker of her eyes and let out a quick laugh, “You are a Fortune teller right?”
“Well, an Oracle, yes. Why?” She looked at this Dragon before her, wondering how this conversation was going to play out.
“Well, I need my fortune told. I need my fortune read.” She said, almost as if the reading should be given to her without question. Astra tilted her head, but agreed to read for the Dragon. This would spark an amazing friendship between these two. The reading went very well, and Radiance found herself coming back to Astra for more and more readings. This created a friendship between the two that would be strengthened over time. As Astra lived and helped her new clan, she found herself to be very happy with the Dragons of the clan. She loved to help them and loved to hear their stories of the times before she came. The more she worked with the clan, and the more her and Radiance came to become closer, she found her happiness had grown tremendously.
One day, as Radiance and Astra were speaking in her energy cave, another Dragon entered with an aura of mystery and awe. This intrigued Astra, and she swiftly moved to help the Skydancer. This Skydancer’s energy was sharp and strong. It was a little intimidating, but Astra cleared her head and helped the Dragon the best she could. There was something about how this Skydancer would give her looks, that made her almost mesmerized. Little did she know, that this Dragon would become her ally. They weren’t as close as Radiance, but with her two friends, Astra had the confidence to continue and grow in her work. The clan has given her happiness and a sense of place. She loved her new family, and adored her friends. She was finally confident enough to call herself “Astra, the Mistress of the Stars.”
