Bruin

Even at a young age, it was quite clear that Bruin would be a powerful Gaoler. He learned how to fend for himself when he was just a hatchling, and became an Overseer once he was old enough to join an order. Bruin even helped found a prison in the Southern Icefield himself. He's aware that watching over the most dangerous Shade creatures is a massive honor, and he takes his job very seriously - and he expects other Gaolers to do the same.

Bruin's name means "bear" for a very good reason - he's a very large, intimidating dragon who also can be highly dangerous when provoked. In addition, he's very protective of those he's close with. However, he also has a kinder, softer side when he needs to show it.

Bruin's adopted younger brother is Eirwyn, who often ends up having to be the one to encourage Bruin to be more open-minded. Georgia, a young Sentry, offered to become a position of authority upon noticing that Bruin was in need of help - Bruin didn't think that Georgia had what it took, but Eirwyn helped to convince him otherwise.
