Freyr

Guardians were lethal, aggressive creatures, at least where Freyr settled when he was a hatchling. His clan, if it could even be called a clan, was filled with violent Guardians who didn't take peace as an option. In-clan battles were frequent. It was a shame how Freyr couldn't grow up to be one of them.

He only grew up to be aggressive when his hatchmates picked on him for being a "soft-scaled dragon." It wasn't his intention to be like that, but maybe it was because his mother had never taught him ever since her mate's exile, maybe it was because of how hurt he felt when he found out his father had indeed been exiled before his hatching--because just like his son, Freyr, he was a soft-scaled dragon.

He got exiled as well. As the Guardians of his ex-clan say- "soft sons take after their softer fathers." It's a shame they'll never know who he became after this, how he ravaged and killed too many till blood spilled on his talons. He couldn't help but feel a nagging guilt in his belly with each life that he took. But maybe meeting Avina was a blessing--she taught him how to be soft and feel proud of it while maintaining a balance between kindness and strength. Why couldn't he just make his own clan, with understanding dragons like him? He was glad Avina was there to help.
