Hatched in the middle of a cold winter, Frostblade spent the first part of his life living inside a cliffside cave with roaring oceans far below.

The only one of three hatchlings to stay after his biological father departed, Frostblade was cared for by his solitary mother until he was old enough to fly at which point Typhoon directed him toward the clan's main village where he would be safer. He would still come to visit her often however.

Fiesty and scrappy, Frostblade would often get into fights with other hatchlings but would soon befriend two other young sandsurges of the same age as he, Bronwen and Bead. The three of them would become a close friend circle as the years went on with Bead becoming Frostblade's eventual partner.

Because of the fact he hatched during a particularly cold winter, Frostblade does have some small amounts of ice magic which combined with his wind abilities allows him to summon gusts of icy air and even small blizzards. He uses these abilities to protect his home and clan.
