Verbena

Verbena was something of a scandal when he first joined Sappho's clan. Born of one of the older Sapphic dragons, a dam named Lothlorien, perhaps in another time he would have been hailed as a precious joy to his clanmates. But Lothlorien made some strange choices leading up to Verbena's hatching - she left the mate she had promised herself to since her puffhood for a drake named Umbra, a rather arrogant fellow from a clan run by an Arcanist named Layla. Lothlorien clutched in this foreign nest, promising to return once her little ones were hatched - but when the time was up all that returned to the Sapphans was a little magelet drake that carried colours startlingly similar to those of his mother. Verbena was alone, parentless though he did not understand why, though he was lucky enough that Sappho intervened. Her own little ones had all left long ago to worship various deities, and much of the clan running was managed by her apprentice, Aretha. This left Sappho with plenty enough time to care for little Verbena.

The other dragons can be somewhat rude about Lothlorien's defection and her decision to send a lone magelet across realms without guard, but Verbena is a quiet, painstakingly polite little drake, and so they do not hold it against him. Verbena helps with the glass making by collecting substances to make the dyes. He likes to arrange flowers around the mouth of Sappho's den in his spare time.

Verbena's romantic life has been quite eventful for all he isn't known for drama - he has mated a number of different dams, all of them with significant bloodlines, and his on-again-off-again relationship with Sage has always been viewed as endgame by his Clanmates. This changed with the birth of Princess Lobelia, who secured his affections with impressive speed and cemented their relationship with a lifebond.
