Biography

DAELIN clan counselor

To most, Daelin may seem like a hard-working fellow who puts a lot of care into his research and studies, and that it's important to him. The sheer reality of it all, though, is that he does it to distract himself. This cyborg dragon has a dark cloud over his head at all times, metaphorically, and spends the majority of his waking moments absorbed in whatever studies he's been working on.

He hatched a sandsurge in a light clan, inheriting mechanical parts from his mother. He was never told how he came to be so full of metal; it's a question that would haunt him for the rest of his life. Not only that, but he inherited the Lightweaver's influence, therefore Dae places truth and logic above all else.

Despite that, this sandsurge experienced a lot of emotions that he didn't understand from a young age, and this took a part in why he chose psychology and dragon behavior studies. He developed depression very early in his life, but Dae didn't have time to focus on that when he was thrusted into a new lair. He had to start a new life, in a new clan, and learn how to make friends all over again.

Thus started his intense case of insomnia and working for unhealthy lengths of time, making up for his lack of sleep with the occasional power nap. During those power naps, Dae would sleep so hard that the clan thought he had expired the first few times. They only lasted short amounts of time, he would have a meal and then immediately get back to work. Of course, his work didn't only include studying and researching. It was made clear by the clan's leaders that he was expected to provide for the clan in some way, or find an occupation that could benefit others.

That is how Daelin became the clans depressed, insomniac counselor.
