The first thing Caldera ever saw was stars, brilliant and burning against a dark sky. It sparked something in her that she didn't quite understand but she knew was something calling to her. As she got older and more intuned with the magic of the world around her, she realized that the stars were trying to guide her through mesages. Messages that were hard to receive under the thick canopy of trees that covered most of Starwood. She needed to be closer, so once of age, she set off for the Observitory. But before she got there, she stoped in the Hoverview Vale, while there, she saw for the first time a shower of stars for which the Starfall Isles were named. She took this as a sign for her to stay in the Vale. She quickly found a clan to live and she set up close to the clan's magical school in order to help with her communication with the stars.
