Rhy, one of the clan's chief warriors, is unpredictable by nature, and that is her key strength in battle. Though she fights well, many of her plans result in victory at a cost. New scars are an everyday occurrence. Affected permanently by a lonely hatchlinghood and an incident in which her birth clan left her for dead, she has acquired a skewed view of her own worth.

Things steadily improved for her when she met Ewan, a scavenger with a brilliant mind and a soft disposition. The two underwent a long courtship - in which neither of them knew how to handle the situation - and eventually agreed to be bonded for life. Their first son, Bryne, was born sickly. Fortunately, the healers of the clan were able to save him. The pair vowed never to have another child, out of fear that he would suffer just as the first had.

After Bryne's hatching, Rhy began serving as a scavenger to minimize the odds of severe injury, though she assists the coliseum fighters when necessary.

Neither Ewan nor Rhy intended to have a second child. The gods had another plan. As Bryne entered young adulthood, the couple rescued a light egg from a form of arcane portal. Intending to tend the egg until another parent pair could be located, they were shocked when it hatched weeks ahead of schedule, and even more astonished when the hatchling mirrored Byrne and carried their genes. After consulting the clan mage, they discovered, to their shock, that the egg, for all intents and purposes, matched their bloodline as a biological egg would.
