A Sunken Soul is a dragon, normally an Aberration, the first of which are said to have emerged from near the Leviathan's Trench. No one is quiet sure where they came from beyond that.

Some whisper that they're the souls of dragons who have met their end in the waters of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, manifested in spare flesh and bones that spill over from the Scarred Wasteland. Hence why they look like the Plague Bringer's forgotten children, but seem to be largely Water in element. Those resembling other breeds have begun to appear, however.

Others say they are living dragons, lost at Sea, now possessed by vengeful spirits.

One way or another, the Sunken Souls aren't telling.

These... beasts, these monsters, are near-mindless in their hunger, the all encompassing drive to devour. Devour what, you say? Anything and everything they can fit in their maw.

Be it life-force, flesh, anything to fill that the hollow void left deep in their souls.

Some theorize that these particular Sunken Souls are created from the souls of those who starved at sea, or had to result to less... moral methods to try and survive lean times, only to become these twisted things.

No one is sure which is the truth of their origins, if any, and the Wraiths have no answers to give.
