A knight fighting for Icewarden and the Ice Flight's glory in his youth, Montfort ultimately took it upon himself to travel, seeking others in need of aid. He came about a group of Ogygian harvesters danger and joined in their plight, instrumental in driving back their assailants. The Imperial escorted them home, eager to see the wounded cared to.

After that business was over and done with, Montfort found himself under an ocean with little to do. He decided to pass some time in the Refuge to recuperate and decide what direction he should take next. One evening the warrior glimpsed a dragoness in the marketplace, taken aback by her beauty and grace. What was originally meant to be a short visit became continuously extended as he began spending time in the Haven, and, eventually, began to get close to the source of his admiration. Skyra was mature and wise, sweet and softspoken, and he was smitten. It is often joked that he is still technically visiting, he could leave any day now! But he won't. He resides in the Haven with his mate, and fights among the Clan's warriors when needed.
