.. Born pale, he went without a name for most of her life, being chased from one shelter to another when nearby coatls discovered his presence. He and another unfortunate companion found an unassailable lair in the Ashencove, a cave on the cliffs of the Waste's southern coast carved out by the tide and sealed by harsh winds and rushing water. There they lived quietly and secretly, tolerated by the nearest clan as long as they never came too close, catching fish brought by the tide for food. The remoteness of the Ashencove made it a home for two other dragons, as well - Crow, a runaway fae from Plague territory hampered by severe parasitization, and a feral guardian who retreated to the flooded lower tunnels, eventually named Typhon by the others.

And then, they were given an egg.

The child they raised in the Ashencove brought some light and aspiration to the solemn place. And as Florry grew, it became clear that he was not wholly draconic - a strange magic issued from him, and his love for his home and family bid it envelop the entire lair in protective embrace.

The Ashencove grew wild. Things like plants grew in the tunnels, but woven of magic, and seemingly possessed of a will - to protect the lair, to guide and shelter those who were welcome within it, and to violently reject those who were not. Its inhabitants grew wild, too - though still wholly of draconic flesh, Florry's mother and father took in the magic he planted in their home, and a change came over them...

They hold Court now as Greyfeather and Grim, so named by Florry so that their children would have something to call them.

Grim is quick to suspect and then to anger, guarded against outsiders to the Court first by his past experiences and now by the influence of elderfolk magic. He is Greyfeather's counsel and often her claw, with a close eye kept on the entrance and exit to the Ashencove.
