Incense hails from a secretive Light clan in the Sunbeam Ruins. Her true name is a close-kept secret, and goes by a moniker chosen by clan priests before her to represent her role in life. She placates and communes with the dead by giving them offerings, and is also in charge with burial rites, especially when it comes to the clan's Imperials.

Her Light nature lends her to a calm and demure demeanor, and spends the majority of her time by herself in the upper cave system of the clan's mesa, studying ancient knowledges and sometimes the technologies that other members of the clan find in the Expanse. The rest of her time -- when not out hunting along the edge of the Tidelord's domain -- is spent in the underground caves of the clan's mesa, where the (non-cremated) dead members of the clan have been laid to rest. There is uses her extensive knowledge and gives the ancestors their proper rights and offerings to continue giving luck to the clan.

Incense has no mate, and she is alright with that. The majority of the clan's Imperials have their own mates or small social groups, and Incense remains apart from them. She does however have an apprentice (a non-Imperial) who helps her out with some tasks, and finds the smaller dragon's enthusiasm amusing.
