Eva

Eva has always bee picked on. By school bullies, His older brothers, Dragonetts at school. He was always the odd one out or so the other dragonetts called him the "nerd". He was was baby blue color. His spikes looked like they where cracked like ice and they where also blue. His horns where dark blue his eyes where pastel blue and his beard was blue too. He had small orange/red glossy glasses. he was 5 moons right now. his nose was always in a interesting book, or he was drawing diagrams in a science scroll. But what mostly interested him was biology. He lived by the ocean. After all his name meant life.

One day he was walking on the beach with his siblings. Looking for a fish for his next experiment. "There's a fish!" He lunged for it, As sea water splashed up in his face and the fish escaped his grip.

Fog breath burst out laughing loudly. "I'd think by all the books you read, that there would be at least one on how to catch a fish!!" She wheezed laughing loudly.

"Oh wait he has never moved his claws from a book once in his life!" Grand remarked laughing loudly too.


"Hey! Knock it off you guys. Your always teasing Eva, Anything he does you make a snotty remark about it! c'mon Eva lets leave these two here, I'll teach you how to catch a fish." Sora his older brother defended him.

"Thank you Sora I feel like your the only one who likes me.." Eva said as they started to walk off.
"Its no problem little bro," he frowned realizing what Eva had said. "Well, I love you, And Um-" Sora was interrupted by Eva.

"You know it don't deny it.. I hope you know you mean so much to me." Eva finished now with a soft smile now looking up at his brother. His brother smiled softly back down at him.


"Aw, don't get all mushy on me!" Sora shoved him in the shoulder then patted his head. "Lets go get your fish."

Once they got home Eva was getting his Dissection ready. Sora went out on to the deck. They lived in a beach house by the ocean up in the mountains somewhat more of a tree house, it was on the side of the mountain.

"Eva! We have to go now!!" Sora had ran inside coughing and panic stricken.

"What is it sora?"

"A volcanic eruption!!" he said with fear in his voice "WE HAVE TO GO LIKE RIGHT NOW!"

"I don't see anything." Eva complained

"Look the sea is shaking! The wind is howling!" Sora shouted like a crazy person
"Are you ok-" Eva was interrupted.

The ground shook. Eva and Sora ran out side and onto the deck the sky was covered in raining ash. There Limbs would catch on fire before they could say "Well this was a bad idea." They had to go by foot. The ground was covered by magma then a layer of ash over, so you could never be sure on where you where stepping.

They ran down to the shore.

"There is an island out there! Only a bit off the shore we have to swim to it!" Sora said. Pointing with his tail down out into the ocean.

"I don't know how to swim!" Eva admitted.
"neither do I. But there is a first for every thing."

Eva didn't like this plan. It was reckless, what if one of them drounded? Or huge chunks of magma came out to sea and Burned them to death?!

Just then all four of Eva's talons slipped through the thin layer of ash. There was lava down there. It burned him. "OWW!" he screeched. Sora trued around and scooped him up his feet where fried Gingerly Sora put him down.

"We have to hurry." Sora urged.
Just then Sora fell through some ash. He was burning to death. Eva couldn't do anything to save him. But he heard him.

"Eva! Go you must hurry,"
"But what about you!? I cant leave you!!" Eva responded shaking with fear.
"Eva remember I love you and you can do thi-" He was cut off by a boom.

Tears rolled down Eva's face as he charged towards the sea. The wind hollowed and the earth shook in his ears. He plunged into the freezing water trying not to let his thoughts drowned him. He walked along the sand bar for as long as he could. He managed to swim he was very close to the island now. A little farther. He had made it. He sat on the shore for a while and wept. That's all he could remember when his world faded to black.

He woke to a stone ceiling where a small lantern hung. His ears rung his eyes blurred as he realized where he was. He was in a huge tent with rose of beds where injured dragons sat in their beds Injured. There where a few dragons weeping by the sides of the beds, that made Eva think. He rubbed his eyes, they where dry now.
