Biography

Bio
Obtained from legallytwisted's Clan via auction (18k gems). Named by a former clan.

Youngest of the first clutch of Larkspur and Kirea of the SpiritOfSakura Clan.

Ardest presently has no mate. He is probably one of the most confusing dragons one can meet in the Guardian Clan after one listens to his life story. Although he had been born in the lands of Nature, he seemed apathetic to the goals of his home. His stone-cold glares, serious tones and desire to distance himself socially ultimately led him to conduct his Search much younger than a normal Guardian would, and never once did he look back. He ultimately ended up in the lands of the Lightweaver, where he felt a connection to a ruin attached to the side of a cliff. It took a few days, however, to realize that his charge was not the dragon he had met - an overly-excitable fae who seemed to be asking his ears off - but the ruins themselves. He bid his new friend off and settled down...the silent stone and remnants of a dead civilizations seeming to be a perfect mirror to himself.

Fate, however, had other plans.

Ruins, however young or old they may be, were always a danger to those who passed through them. One wrong step could severely injure someone...or worse. Thus it made sense to Ardest that his Search had brought him to this place: It was his duty to ensure that all who passed through this place were to remain safe. This duty crumbled, however, when a single dragon's clumsiness around a few remaining foundations caused both him and a small cluster of researchers he'd been following to get caught in a collapse of stone. While he had emerged alive the others had not. Failure of a charge was frowned upon in Guardian society, so he did the only thing he could think of - to fly away, as fast as he could. To not look back at what had happened to his home, his obligation. His fleeing mind and body took him into the lands of the Stormcatcher, where he crossed paths with a powerful storm created by the lord of lightning himself to create massive amounts of electricity for the lightning farms and tempest that he called his own. Yet Ardest ignored this storm's existence...until he was struck and the power of lightning paralysed him and forced him out of the sky.

Being a Guarian had its blessings: They were build to take excessive punishment from opponents and still walk away. So when Ardest came to in the highland scrub, he wasn't completely surprised to be alive. What did surprise him, however, was the blue eyes and pink fur that stood before him, movement he couldn't appropriately follow, being asked why one would be stupid enough to fly into such a powerful storm and that his injuries were being tended to via a female voice. Judging by the question that been asked, it was fairly safe to assume that it was a Tundra speaking to him, whom he later learned was named Ariel. He wasn't exactly friendly to her at first. Deep inside he simply wished he had surcome to his fate, but she would hear no such thing, and her unceasing chipperness helped to re-buffer his poor attitude. Even after he healed, she's visit to simply check on him and ensure he was alright. Ardest came to appreciate the concern, and he ultimately decided that dying off would not be a wise move since he'd disappoint the little tundra. When she told him that her clan was moving farther west, without a word, he came back with her. While not outright stating his joining, it was assumed that was what it was. The clan's leader, Seranus, wasn't particularly thrilled by him, but made no moves to remove him.

Originally, Ardest wasn't one to talk about what happened next in its entirety, but comfort from dragons like FireSeeker, FingenSecundus, Firefly and even RisingsunGuard have caused him to open up some. What is known is that Ariel had disappeared after a raid from a rival clan. Surprisingly, even after it was discovered she was alive Seranus made no move to try and get her back since he did not want to risk multiple lives for just one dragon. Not wanting to lose something close to him a second time, and because Ariel was loved by many members, he called upon others in the clan to ignore Seranus' orders - some of whom did and joined Ardest for his just cause - and waged war against the rival clan in order to get her back. During the fight, he discovered the force that had been assembled wasn't enough and Ardest was dragged away by his friends Imith and Asinith before he could try and kill himself again. To everyone's relief Ariel returned virtually unscathed a short while after Ardest's assault was made.

Eventually, Ardest decided that his time with Seranus and Ariel was over; it was time to see new faces. To his amazement, he, Imith and Asinith were taken under the care of the RisingsunGuard. Ardest had left the Viridian Labyrinth because he did not feel like he belonged. And yet, through the Guardian Clan, he has returned to the land of his birth. With all that he has been through, however, the question now becomes: will he still try to be the Guardian that left so long ago, or will he finally fall in tune with the ways of Nature.

At the moment, only time seems to hold the answer, and the journey through the flights have not yielded anything as of yet.
