Biography

Pixel [he/they] & Polygon [he/she]; he singular or they plural collectively

-cybernetically enhanced in the egg as part of an ethically questionable experiment in augmentation [debating whether to say he was made at the commune, maybe by or with help from carrington, or that he was made elsewhere and released or escaped afterwards]

-organic enough for 'real' thoughts and feelings, but runs on a very strict computer-driven sense of logic that often ignores emotional consequence. they lean into the robot thing for a bit of a laugh, punctuating their sentences with unconvincing calculating responses and beep boops and playing up the uncanny stiffness of their movements. though he does feel out of place or self conscious at times, joking about his cyborg status prevents voxel from getting down in the dumps about it.

-the individual halves are easiest to see when they argue, and oh BOY do they argue. whenever they're struggling to make a decision, pixel and polygon will each pick a side to debate for and work it out that way - which, from an outside perspective, tends to look like a dysfunctional aberration in a screaming match with itself. other dragons are often surprised to learn that the two genuinely get along great.

-pixel is typically the more subdued of the two, preferring to express himself in different flavours of snark, whereas polygon is loud, prone to immediately obvious mood swings, and generally wears her heart on her sleeve. as a singular being, voxel tends towards pixel's quieter tendencies interspersed with bursts of emotional energy, most commonly due to excitement or frustration.

-thanks to their computerised body, neither of voxel's halves are confined to a particular head, and they swap around who speaks through which mouth pretty often. polygon adds a distinguishably more intense bitcrush to his voice, but it generally takes a few meetings to learn the difference.

-he's happy to offer lessons in combat/self defence [built for it? just really good?] to other dragons, and his mechanical precision is an excellent example to follow. the barely repressed fits of Gamer Rage every time they miss an eliminate, maybe less so. regardless, they're thrilled to have a way to help out that doesn't involve being experimented on [we seem to be drifting into 'moderately traumatised by ethically questionable circumstances of birth' territory let's workshop that sometime], and want nothing more than for their friends in the commune to be safe.

-voxel's familiar bitsy [she/her] met him when he was just starting out in the training fields, and begun to follow him around, fascinated by his unique battle style. voxel eventually caught on, and the pair quickly bonded. shy and taciturn, bitsy's quiet demeanour belies an extraordinary memory, able to recall and most likely present notes and sketches on almost any person or monster she's ever encountered. voxel's combat endeavours have long since eclipsed her own magical capabilities, but she tags along all the same to take notes and provide moral support.
