The stillness weeps. The flames which gurgled and grumbled as they ate their way through the once-green forest have vanished, leaving naught in their wake but the quiet crumbling of dreams into ash. Yet ash, they say, makes for such fertile soils, and as such do broken dreams yield way to the forging of new ideas in their rubble, and so too does new life bring hope.
Her name is Ember, for she has sprung from the glowing coals of new life, and despair is replaced by whimsy and wonder.
Found in the wreckage of a forest fire, a tiny hatchling with no signs of other life for miles around, she was quickly taken in by the clan. She has grown up with them, and while she finds herself at home, there is a certain strangeness to her that speaks of things unknown...
