Kaerys

Kaerys Oakenhorn is a hunter dragon. Raised in the wilderness of the Viridian Labyrinth, Kaerys learned to fend for herself at a young age. Her personality is quiet, but strong. Although she is a fighter, she prefers peace, and seeks a home where she can settle down for the rest of her life.

She wears the mask of a wolf in honour of her druidic teacher who taught her the ways of the wild.

Kaerys has wandered from clan to clan in search of a home of her own. But no matter where she went, she never felt truly at peace. It was not as though those clans were unfriendly. In fact, they were kind and took her in. But no matter what, eventually she would feel the need to leave and wander once more. She doesn't really know why - she thinks that perhaps there is something out there in the world that she needs to find.

Unconsciously, what she really seeks is connections. Kaerys has never been good at bonding with other dragons. Her stoic attitude often helps her in combat, but divides her from her fellow dragons. Additionally, she does not really understand emotions. She finds it hard to read what other dragons are thinking, which makes her unable to empathise with all but the most straightforward of dragons. Perhaps that is why she prefers the companionship of her wolf, who hides nothing and understands each other on a deeper level. Yet all the same, she yearns for a deeper friendship with the dragons around her.

One day, she heard about the legend of the Zodiac Spirits, said to inhabit the lands of Sornieth in the most remote of places. It is said to grant solace to those who seek it. Thinking that perhaps she could find out what it is she's looking for once and for all, Kaerys has set off on a journey to find one of the twelve Zodiac Spirits hidden somewhere in this land.

Along the way, she finds several other dragons also in search of the spirit.

And little does she know, that it is this journey that will change her forever.

The Maji Tribe are relatively new compared to other villages and smaller clans. Having only formed in recent history they unite under the name of their chief's family name, The Majino. The Maji Tribe were once a collection of nomadic people who would wander from land to land. To those unaware, they would appear no different than wandering beastclans, however, unlike them, they would often find themselves in the passing of other clans, tribes and cities, serving whoever their current masters may be.

When Chang eventually left her home, she would wander into the Plaguelands, only to pass other smaller nations. It's unsure when, or how she first came to speak with the Greater One but it is believed that it was the land she chose to call home that led to some reason, at least partial in his selection. The Maji people would take in any ad every dragon in passing, from the injured and sick to the young and orphaned. Some would call this place home for the rest of their lives, while others would only stay for a while.

Whatever the reason, the clan welcomes all. Be warned however, secrets lurk behind every corner, only to be uncovered by those willing to listen to the darkest shadows lurking. Will you stay and listen, or will you be on your way?

Some dragons have different desires. Some with to grow strong and to spread their seed for generations. Others wish to amass a great horde. Those that follow the Everlasting Moonlight want neither. Their only true desire is to spread the word of their faith to those willing to listen, and never solicit their beliefs.

It's said a priest, or priestess of the faith lingers one in every camp, every city, every family. They find their way and want nothing more than to guide others to the dreams they hope to achieve. Often those that follow the faith are fortune tellers, traders, or travelers. Some even born into it will change their prayers to another, but the teachings of the faith are something you keep for life.
