Lylas is a dragon full of mystery, it seems. For one thing, Lylas is a vegetarian; for another, a shadowy recluse. Lylas also has a close allegiance with the stage-performing trickster Lazil. The magic is a shroud—but for whom?

Sources say Lylas is shy. Typically, shaping shadows behind the stage for Lazil is enough for Lylas. But Lazil travels with a crew of aethers who are quirky in their own ways, and the prying of Lylas’ shell is inevitable. Turns out that, for the right audience, Lylas likes having a chance to shine.
