Pluto has lived in Dragonhome for as long as he can remember. He loves everything about the Earth flight: the Earthshaker, the rocks, the way its dragons venerate serving the deities above all. He gave himself the name 'Pluto' after a legendary figure some ancient dragons worship as the god of riches, gemstones, and minerals.1

It was only after he was a grown dragon about to strike out on his own and seek his own fortune, hoping to make it as a miner, a jeweller, or perhaps even a geologist, did Pluto discover that he was not originally born in Dragonhome. His eyes are not the gentle brown of the Earth flight, but the dark gold of the Light flight. Some might say where one was born does not matter, especially for a dragon like Pluto, who has spent all his life in Dragonhome, dedicated to the Earthshaker, but the revelation shook Pluto to his core. Perhaps he considers it a particular insult to be Light element when what he loves is the dark of the Earth.

He left his home swiftly after that, continuing to proclaim to all that he is nothing more than an Earthie born and bred. Unfortunately for him, it is easy to tell that he is a born Light dragon and people either think that he's joking or that he's very strange.

Eccentricities aside, Pluto is dedicated to the study of gemstones and minerals. His honesty has earned him a reputation as being the best appraiser of gemstones in all of Fleuyer and Aislica. For a clan of dragons that value gemstones as one of the most precious forms of currency, a reliable appraiser like Pluto is indispensable, and he has found a happy home in the clan as a trusted expert.

1. Please don't tell him that Pluto is also the god of the dead. It might upset him.
