B I O G R A P H Y

The firstborn heir of a famous merchantry, Odon's childhood was rife with myriad joys and boons. Odon, however, did not want to be a mere merchant, though he knew his siblings would gladly jump at the chance. Instead, he engrossed himself in magic and divination, a practice frowned upon by his family. They saw divination as a fool's errand, the future, a product of the present that could never be truly predicted. Odon, entranced by the romanticism of it all, was a firm believer in the idea that some events were inevitable and the knowledge of these critical junctures would only help his family. He practiced the ancient art behind closed doors, making fine use of any resource that he could, whether draconic or bestial.

On a day like any other, clear skies and sunshine as far as the eye could see, the merchantry embarked on one of its biggest expeditions in recent history, transporting a massive shipment of zephyr gems to the Plateau at the behest of the Windsinger himself. The course was immediately plotted, cutting through the currents with an entourage of guardians to act as guards. As his ship cut through the center of the Sea, Odon felt something strike at his magical core and leave just as quickly as it came. His soul resonated with the coming of a new seer and the departure of an old one. His core thrummed with foreign energy, leaving the cries of a dying sea ringing in his head. It warned of an impending storm and pleaded him to survive it.

The screams in his head quickly became drowned out by the roar of the swirling tides and quickly became silenced with a single flash of thunder right before his eyes, running down the ship’s mast. The next second, his vision was slowly consumed by an inky, cold darkness. Soon enough, however, he awoke to the salty tears of the deep and the sound of gentle sobbing.
