A traveler at heart :)

Moments at the Traveling Breeze

The Traveling Breeze was getting closer to Sable’s home, however, there seemed to be some fallen trees and other debris that were blocking the path. The clan was at a standstill as they all talked about another route.
Sable stepped up to the plate as she rummaged around in her pack to pull out many maps. “I have some maps about this territory that we could use!” She shouted to get everyone’s attention. “All I have to do is open some of these up…” The maps unfurl from their rolled state, “...then figure out which one is which…”
The many maps were hard to look through by herself but she heard some footsteps behind her as a voice spoke up.
“I can help you!”

When Sable looked back she saw a Tundra with an outfit meant for a navigator. It was Xylia! Sable gave a wide smile and a sigh of relief. “I was worried it was going to take me hours to look through all these maps.”
“It can be a hassle for sure. Though I don't really need the maps.”
Sable turned her head to the side in confusion, “You don’t need maps?”
“Nope!” Xylia laughs. “The winds guide me on where I need to go. Once I visit a place once I’ll always be able to find it again unless major changes happen.” She steps forward as the wind passes through her fur. She points. “This way!”

As the clan follows Xylia, Sable quickly walks right up next to her in awe. “Amazing! I wish I had that talent as I tend to get SO lost all of the time.”
Xylia laughs. “Getting lost is the fun part of traveling though! The more lost you get, the more you get to see.”
“I don’t know… I mean one time I got so lost that I ended up in the wrong part of Shadow territory and ruined a ritual that I think was meant to summon some sort of monster… it was cool once I actually got out of there!”
“Really?” Xylia says in shock and awe. “I think I actually was around that area. You’re talking about that one clan that does all that witchy stuff but SPECIFICALLY with skeletons right?”
“Yes! That one! Have you encountered them before?”
“Yeah though it wasn’t to stop a ritual like you did. It was more for peace negotiations so it was more boring.” She exaggerates by slumping.
Sable laughs and skips along. “You gotta tell me what else you have encountered!”
“As long as you tell me what you have seen as well!”
“Deal!”

The rest of Sable’s trip consisted of the two sharing their stories of their travels along with her learning a few tips from Xylia on how to not get lost so often, but Xylia said that sometimes it’s in the nature of a traveler to get lost.

- I N T E R A C T I O N S -

Sable was finally traveling with the Traveling Breeze! It was almost like a dream come true! What was even cooler was that she saw that the famed Fae, Osian, was one of the leaders. When Osian approached her she immediately started to speak nonstop.
“It’s so great to meet you, Osian! I’ve heard so many stories about you but to see you in person is soooo cool!” She shakes his hand that he had extended to greet her with. “Tell me, what have you seen on your travels? Who did you meet? Was there anything cool?”

Osian smiles at Sable’s enthusiasm. “Why I’ve seen and have met so many things! I think the most memorable moment recently was when tons of warriors came upon our traveling clan. Me and others defended ourselves but when we approached the leader he threw his helmet at us and ran! Later we found out he was the most feared barbarian of Dragonhome!”

“He must’ve been scared!” Sable giggles. “Oh! I have a story too! When I was traveling in the Sunbeam Ruins I actually went into Luminax’s territory… well more like outside of it. But! I found a cool tablet that ended up being a historic picture of Veilspun which were the ancient dragons from the Tangled Wood!”

Osian looks in awe, “Wow! That must’ve been quite scary with Luminax stomping around!”
“Oh no! I was just lucky!” Sable responds as they both laugh.

It was a bit rainy today, but the weather was still nice. Sable enjoyed the light drizzle as she was idly chatting with Ganya about his research.
“So, you can tell the age of an area just by what you can find on the surface? Oh! Then can you take a look at these? I’ve taken them from different areas in my travels.” Sable pulls a few pretty rocks from her pack as she shows them to Ganya.
The Pearlcatcher takes out a spyglass as he examines the rocks.

“My! What a greatly preserved specimen! You’ve obtained this from Dragonhome haven’t you?” He inquires.
“You can tell where they are from too? I did get this one from Dragonhome, though I had to dig it out of a cliff.”
“Well, you dug it out nicely.” He puts away his spyglass. “I’d say the current age of that portion of land is about over one thousand years. Some parts of Dragonhome rarely go through any change which I credit the Earth deity for.”

Sable’s eyes lit up, “You must tell me how you are able to decipher as such! I would love to travel and be able to tell such details from the land itself!”
“Of course I can teach you! It’s all a part of my description as a professor!”

Big bags shuffle as Sable organizes what she has found so far in her travels with the clan. Pocketwatch? Check. Rocks? Check. Dried flowers? Check. Book with no title? Check… Wait, book with no title?

Sable turned the book around to see nothing was on the back either so she decided to open it and she immediately fell backwards as she sees a small purple Fae pop out of the book.
“Suprrriissseee!!! Wait, this isn’t Silian’s pack…”
It was MrPoopie! He let out a sigh of disappointment, “Not again…”

Sable giggled at his mannerisms as she smiled. “Well, I thought you were entertaining even though you surprised the wrong dragon.”
Quickly MrPoopie turned his head with surprise and gave a wide smile. “Oh my! Sable! Apologies for sneaking in. Since you are here, would you like to see some of my work in progress for one of my shows?”
“Of course!” A showing of one of the most famous comedian’s acts? How could she refuse!

Sable watched as MrPoopie started one of his jokes and messed up the punchline, did a trick and fell on his head, then completely forgot what he was about to say! She could not stop laughing even if he did not ever successfully do an act.

He bows to Sable, “I think you may be my biggest fan yet! Here are some tickets for one of my shows coming up. Pass it to whoever you want!” He then takes his leave as Sable holds the tickets that say...
