He misses his partner, Schmetterling, and his children.
I regret exalting them. Especially Schmetterling :(
Schneeleopard declined his invitation to lead one of the Ruling Houses. He says he would feel lonely without Schmetterling there with him, and refuses to look for another partner. Perhaps, in time, another woman will come to him, but for now, he is only interested in his training and protecting the King and Queen. The two rulers are rarely seen without him and Goldscale by their sides.
Schneeleopard's weapon is terrible to behold, and even worse to fight against. The blade screams with its own inner intelligence, hungering for blood. Touching the hooked bone-edge is foolhardy and gives the victim a terrible infection. A spirit was trapped in the sword long ago, not by Schneeleopard's doing, but by the blade's creator, and when the blade enters the body of another creature, that spirit temporarily infuses the body, severing the other spirit's connection if it can. An act of will is required to resist and remove the spirit, but luckily, Schneeleopard prefers slashing rather than witnessing -and demonstrating - the sword's magic.
Best to stay out of sword range at all costs.
