Xyro is an Aether dragon that crash landed in the Shardstream Clan's territory, the impact sending thousands of arcane crystal fragments across the land and so giving it the name "Shardstream". The fragments quickly took root in the murky silt across the Driftwood Drag, bringing forth both dazzling crystal spires that tower over the surrounding land and new, frightening creatures that lurk between them.

Xyro remembers little to nothing about the crash or what xer life was like before it. Xe can't help but feel like an outsider among the closely-knitted relationships of xer clanmates, despite their best efforts in including Xyro and trying to make xer feel welcome. Xe feels like xe has nothing to offer to them, and feels responsible for the crystal beings that threaten xer new friends.
