Biography
Perhaps it had been too long. Had she begun to forget?
Those cerulean eyes had seen quite the journey. The emergence of a new lair in the Tidesong Reef was no easy feat - yet Fudge had witnessed one grow from an underwater cavern, seagrass, the remains of the fallen Fishspine dwellers, and whatever the dragons alongside her could find. Fudge, too, had found herself assisting in the setup of the place - weaving together aquatic plant fibres, sorting out rations for each dragon that helped, shouting out chants of inspiration to bolster their spirits. A new lair. A new clan, bustling with excitement and warmth. That pair of smiling green eyes, and that cheeky grin she would come to love in the future. New faces arose from the murky waters; dragons of all shapes and sizes, from all elemental alignments and each nation of Sornieth. It was with great mirth that Fudge greeted every newcomer, every hatched egg. Even when the dragons were new no more, Fudge would still recall their anticipating young faces, excited yet anxious as an older member introduced them to the clan. The face she remembered most clearly, though, must’ve been Kazuki’s. |

Despite never having to face the immense pressure of introducing himself to the entire clan, or never having to adjust to a new environment within the Tidesong Reef so quickly - the expression that hung on his face when their first nest was about to hatch was one Fudge would never forget. Within her walls of books and scriptures, within the covers of her trivia fact notebook, the first ever page’s contents are a single line contrary to belief: “In this clan, the dragon who makes the weirdest expression when anxious is Kazuki”. It gave her a good chuckle whenever she browsed through her leather-bound goldmine. Despite the clan’s youngsters who’d constantly pop quiz her at random times of the day in attempt to prove that Fudge was in fact, not all-knowing, or the more reserved ones who would often ask her outlandish questions, nobody - other than the subject in question - had asked a question requiring the first answer she had written.
It was at this moment Fudge craned her neck, peering at the sights below her balcony. Laughs, wings splashing in the waterfall, the claws of fellow clansdragons frantically pulling apart reeds to find a hiding spot so as to not disappoint the youngster who was promised a game of hide-and-seek. Fudge, however, saw something a little different than the other residents of the Sunset Balcony. In her eyes, right next to the shore - two auraboas, one browner than the other, frolicked in the waters. Although, the mirage shook and whittled when a familiar feathered wing brushed across her horn. “Would you like to join the rest of them for a swim? It would be a pity if we were to gather dust along with the balcony we stand on. Let’s go together, Fudge.” Forget? No. She would never. |
