Biography
Uh-oh, looks like this foresty Tundra wandered a little too far from her lair (85579 - MistressofShadow), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.
Having been found as an egg, Octobre grew up in the lair of MistressofShadow. Having no parents, she felt at home, as all the dragons treated her as their own. However, the older she got, the more she grew antsy. She wanted to explore, she wanted to see new things. She spread her wings, and said good-bye to her many parents, and siblings. Her journey was just beginning. (Feel free to gene her up! She's a gen one, looking for love!)
The first lair she visited was that of Rhiain's in the Frigid Floes of the Southern Icefield. The lair was filled with dragons of all sizes and breeds- from tiny Faes like Surgeon and Mad Max, to giant Guardians like the lair's leader, Rhiain, as well as Vulturous and his mate Amp... there were a spare few Mirrors that weren't all that kind, but the rest of the clan- especially Azha the Pearcatcher, were very friendly and welcoming. This lair was even home to some local Skydancer royalty- Danu, Neptune, and their two children, as well as the stunning Carnaval, and all were very nice and interested in sharing stories with Octobre.
This was a clan quite used to travellers, and had a great set up for the travellers- extra bunks, familiars to keep dragons unused to icy temps warm, and even a great training program for the Coliseum should a traveller wish to train with the more seasoned team of dragon warriors.
While all of this was excellent in Octobre's eyes, she quickly found herself bored with everything and was eager to take flight again. After all, she did set out to see the entire world, not just this one bit! Hopefully she would be able to return soon and share more stories than she was this time around.
Octobre travelled to the Twisting Crescendo next, meeting a clan led by a beautiful Imperial named Luthien. This clan, too, was used to travellers, and they were all quite friendly to Octobre. She met all sorts of new friends, becoming especially close to Luthien, her mate Beren and son Regulus, an Imperial named Mirie, and a pair of Skydancer siblings named Ceodore and Leonora. However, she decided to move on rather quickly, not wanting to get attached to any clan in particular.
It was in Chiaroscuro that she met a dragon that looked much like her: another Tundra with green wings, brown body and a love for life. However, Arvid had this otherworldly quality to him, something that told Octobre that he wasn't entirely a mortal; his size would shift slightly from day to day without any apparent explanation, he would disappear on occasion and he always seemed to have a flurry of leaves floating around him (much like her own petals, she thinks now) and though his eyes said Arcane, his soul screamed for Nature. Some kind of spirit, perhaps.
Their time together gifted them four small Tundras, all of them with the color of bark and leaves and spring. However, the world called out for her and she once again wandered away.
She found her way to a fire clan, that was welcoming and warm, but was not a final home for her wandering spirit.
Octobre next found herself in a small Shadow flight clan with no name. There were more travelers and refugees than permanent clanmates ; and with dragons coming and going at such crazy speeds, Octobre knew this wasn't the clan for her.
She soon located a growing shadow clan in Foxfire Bramble. Apparently, she was the first one to enter the lair since they had moved in from Wispwillow Grove. Although she got along very well with a snapper named Hydrozoanthus and his wife, a fae named Rosewood, the rowdy clan was too much for her to handle, and she was soon on her way again.
