Biography
The poor fool
One who lives with half a mind does not live at all. Instead of living they are lived. Lived vicariously by somebody else. Much can be said for Toto, but not even a single word can be uttered about Toto. He is a single-sided coin, a one-sided dice, the sole edge of a blade. To put it plainly, an anomaly. Toto once used to live an eligible and free, before the meadows. Before Queen Frolic. But one taste of the golden honey lifestyle and that was it.
Toto fell deeply. Deeper than the mariana trench. In fact he believes he is still falling. To this day. Nothing will ever catch him. He stepped into the meadows that faithful day, wide eyed and curious. At first there was hesitation. Toto was cautious of the uncharted and unknown. The meadows were quiet, and yet there were whispers among the flowers. There were secrets buried beneath the dirt. Before he could even try to uncover them he was whisked into a fevered frenzy of warmth. A blazing gaze cast upon him, blinding him in the only way that mattered. Love.
It was at first sight. Toto could feel it in his bones. He loved Queen Frolic. He loved the way she tended to the bees. He loved the way her eyes strayed on him a second or two longer than others. He loved when she was as delicate as the flowers in the meadows. He loved when she was as wild as the windstorms that strode across the skies. But mostly he loved Queen Frolic for being just that. Queen Frolic. His one wish came true when she delcared she would pair with him.
Little did he know it only sealed his fate. Over were the days of living. Of being free and untamed. Of exploring the world and experiencing all it had to offer. He was trapped in this honey pot. Constantly pining and groveling at Frolic's clawtips. Though there was a mutual feeling there was one rule. No hatchlings. No passing of genes. No family. Toto gave it all up. Anything was worth it for his love. So Toto stayed, a lost poor fool of the meadows. He gave up living for love. Heavy was the cost.
