Vess' Challenge
Because I could use a little motivation...

What is Vess' Challenge?
Vess' Challenge is something that I came up with as a means of giving myself a goal to work towards when my brain isn't able to focus on creative projects. I was originally motivated to create this by looking through the achievements page and seeing that there were achievements for fighting in the coliseum with a single level 1 dragon. At it's core, Vess' Challenge is a sort of singleplayer hard mode.

What are the rules?
You start with a single level 1 dragon (hatched from an egg) and train them up in the coliseum on their own. You're not allowed to purchase anything (battle stones, genes, familiars, ect.) for them unless they'd have the funds to purchase them with the drops they accumulate. The goal is to largely have them rely on nothing other than what they obtain in the coliseum, but not everything is achieved that way c':

What about food?
I originally thought about having food drops be tracked and adding the difficulty of a "game over" if you didn't have enough food points to continue forward- But since it's impossible to feed a dragon with individual food points I scraped the idea. (It also makes it easier to track funds if you can sell everything and, admittedly, I don't think I am either active enough or good enough at the Coli to pass my own challenge if that was a factor xD)

(Possibly going to add more notes to this as I go on...)

Light Runestone

Familiars:
Emerald Webwing Verdant joined Vess on her very first day, impressed by how hard she was training and deciding to join her on her adventures.
Ceanothus Brawler Boysenberry joined Vess shortly after Verdant did, deciding it would be safer to be with her than out on his own.
Peony of Rockbreaker ??? was bought by Vess after accumulating enough deepearth geodes during the last full day of the rockbreaker's ceremony (which also happened to be Vess' first day training).
