Centipede

Centipede once ruled the underground - long before the town was even founded, it roamed deep under the surface. A giant insect-like creature of unknown origin, it possessed an ability to control other creatures through an eerie, haunting song - usually used to draw prey to itself, but also to make them do its bidding. In the town's early history, mysterious disappearances were often attributed to it, though few ever saw the beast themselves.

Its reign came to an end when Wasp took her place among the underground. It's unknown if Wasp simply drove Centipede away, or killed it - but soon after her arrival, it disappeared. Still, while it has mostly faded from memory of both those underground and the town, some believe it will return - and they will hear the Centipede's song again.
