Amalthea

Amalthea's Story

Amalthea tells that she comes from the sky. There is at least one natural satellite of Sornieth, and here, according to her, she had spent a lot of time before she finally reached Sornieth. On this satellite, she met a lot of creatures and developed some unnatural powers she believes only Auraboas can possess. Some of them are connected with the Loop.

She was here, and among with powers and her new pet, she brought some really unbelieveable facts about the world outside. How much Shade is on the satellite, what life exists here and so on.

Anyway, as no other dragon has travelled that far, it's believed that the Auraboa just makes up her stories for fun. Only two dragons listen to her, and they are Arbuzek and Jayse.

As for the Sandsurge, Amalthea is a great source of inspiration for Arbuzek's stand-ups and storytellings. The Sandsurge tells jokes and tales about what lives outside of Sornieth and Shade itself.

Jayse always brings Amalthea with him in his journeys, to help her explore the world she missed when living on the satellite. And to let Amalthea tell her story to harpies. Harpy kids adore Amalthea and call her "Space Serpent". Harpy elders ask her about the cosmos and record her words into their scrolls.

Despite being lonely for so long and meeting only misunderstanding from others, Amalthea fully enjoys the company of other dragon and can support any conversation going on. But she is too sensitive to any danger and sometimes can be very agressive towards others.

Amalthea's Powers.

Amalthea has the same The Loop ability like every other Auraboa, but her Loop is connected not to dragons, but to flora and fauna of the place she is. So she lives non-linear life of the place, sometimes reliving the moments of its past. On the satellite, it didn't scare her, but on Sornieth she worries about her friends left somewhere in other time.

Despite being a Water dragonet, because of her Loop and Auraboa powers, Amalthea has a weak foresight. She foresees only a day ahead.
