Biography
Poppy || She/Her | Lawyer || ”Quote” |
This is where I keep all the little poems for Charles and Persea’s children, every so often I write a new version and I need somewhere to keep them. But first, Gertrude gets her own lore
______________________________________________________________________________________
Gertrude (Gertie) Poppy is a very sophisticated lady, she deems herself too good for Serenity and the washed up criminals that frequent it but she is stuck there anyway. How was she supposed to know that all of her years of deceit, blackmail and unintentional murder would get her punished at some point. She was rich, nothing could hurt her. And, well, Gertrude wasn’t wrong, rich people never really have to deal with the consequences of their actions but she went bit too far.

And now, the poems:
The tree.
The tree was nothing short of jaw dropping with its graceful intertwined branches and its curved umbrella shape.
You ran a finger along its gnarled bark, feeling every nook and cranny as you gently caressed the wood.
You looked up into the maze of life that towered high above your head.
The mottled leaves that clung tightly to the branches were like delicate painted canvasses as they fluttered in the late summer wind, the different shades promised the swift change in seasons.
A flicker of [dragon primary] movement caught your attention from the corner of your vision.
The leaf slowly glided down from the tangle overhead and you strained to reach it, snatching it gently from the open air.
You brought the spotted filigree closer to your chest inspecting the folded figure.
The curled leaf unfurled in your grasp right in front of your eyes, revealing a small wrinkled muzzle.
It blinked at you indignantly before yawning and tucking its thin, papery wings around itself once again.
The Tree There is a tree on [hill name], A tree so tall it towers over the heads of even the largest Ridgebacks. The branches a vast puzzle of interlocking bark, A sea that is so densely woven it blocks out all hints of late summer sun, An opaque shadow cast across the prairie. In the fall the leaves turn bright orange, But its still early, Now the leaves are patchy, The southern side starting to turn brilliant while the north keeps its verdant hue. Stray gusts of wind knock the leaves from the former perches They are bored of being held, Wanting to explore, And falling without certainly of their destination. |
Now its your turn to take flight.
