He transferred to Clan Sunsharp in hope of seizing a more exciting career than being a supervisory mage over a lightning farm. Easily adapting to the dark humor that characterizes the support staff, Ozus is always making light of heavy issues. This manifests in a myriad of ways: making small bets on petty things, joking about offing himself, and flirting with his clanmates only scratches the surface. When asked how he could possibly laugh about the danger and dread he faces in his Paragon work, his response is that it’s better than the alternative of letting it get to him.

He disagrees with Eyne’s dogma against innate talent, believing himself to be one of many exceptions. Confident and sure of his spellcasting ability from an early age, Ozus is one of the Archmage’s most insubordinate Paragons, constantly deviating from their meticulous orders. His method is graceful, elegant, more artistic - and in the end, he still achieves the same result, if not better. Personal style is important to him, and he refuses to quell his individuality in the name of efficiency, especially after leaving the Shifting Expanse behind him for good.
